Welcome! I’m Adrienne, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive experience in helping individuals improve their lives and relationships.
You have many choices in picking a therapist, and the right fit is key. Here's a little about me and my approach to counseling:
I love helping clients along their therapeutic journey and I hope you will also enjoy our time together. With 10 years of experience in mental health, I’ve worked with adults, youth, and couples in both acute care and outpatient settings. At the start of our work together, I’ll take time to understand you and how your experiences led you to where you are today. Together, we’ll create a vision for where you want to go. I believe in the power of small steps—one foot in front of the other—and the importance of taking time to rest, reflect, and restore. I’ll encourage you to be curious, open, and nonjudgmental in exploring yourself, as Carl Rogers, one of therapy's founding fathers, said: “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
My goal is to help you move toward the life you want, and help you to overcome and navigate the barriers in your path. Maybe you’re feeling stuck in repetitive patterns, stressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself or others. Perhaps you're lost, unsure where to go next, or how to make things better. Step by step, I will help you find healing, courage, direction —and even joy. Trust me. It is possible.
I work with clients experiencing:
Mental health and relationship difficulties can have a huge impact on your life, and by talking to someone, you are already taking the first step on your journey toward a life that feels better.
A little about me outside of work:
When I'm not working, I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, trail running or walking, listening to podcasts and science fiction books, and exploring the PNW forests with my pup. I'm another California transplant, and since moving to Oregon 10 years ago, I've fallen in love with the beauty of Pacific Northwest and can't imagine living anywhere else!
Thank you for visiting. I look forward to supporting you on your journey!
Please send me a brief message and I will be in touch soon!
